The number of different species reported so far this year to Manx BirdLife remains at 169, see here for details. This is the first week for quite some time that no new species have been recorded. There are still some species that may be seen: the most obvious one is Feral Pigeon/Rock Dove – the Calf reported some racing pigeons, but they don’t count as wild birds so a report of ’genuine’ Feral Pigeon or Rock Dove would be welcome. Amongst some of the possible species for this time of year, there have been no Common Terns, Green Sandpipers or Yellow Wagtails; there are many other possibilities, so do keep on the look out. If you see any species that has not yet been reported this year, please could you do so using the usual form.
