Neal hails from London, and with an early interest in the natural world, he studied Marine Biology at the University of Liverpool. This course took him to the Isle of Man, where he finished his degree at the Port Erin Marine Laboratory.
Falling in love with island life, Neal found a career in the IT sector and worked for a local software house for 27 years finishing as their Chief Operating Officer.
Neal joined the Manx Birdlife team in 2023, and brings a wealth of experience of the digital world alongside a passion for the natural world, and particularly the diverse birdlife of the Island.
