Manx BirdLife is seeking a Project Officer to join us in delivering an exciting new two-year partnership project on the Isle of Man.

A first for the Island, the project will bring together conservation organisations, landowners, public bodies, community groups, businesses and local communities to co-design a shared vision for ecological restoration and develop a practical plan for putting that vision into action.
The project will take a truly landscape-scale approach, extending from upland catchments and freshwater systems through to our coastal and marine environments. By looking at the connections between these habitats, the project will explore how restoring healthy ecological processes across the whole landscape and seascape can deliver lasting benefits for nature and people.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised and collaborative individual to lead the coordination and development of this programme of nature restoration.
As Project Officer, you will be at the heart of the partnership, acting as the central coordinating point between organisations and working closely with a multi-partner Steering Group. You will bring together expertise, data and ideas from across organisations and communities, helping to turn a shared vision for a flourishing land and sea environment into a practical, coordinated and investable programme of action.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and relationship builder, with strong project management and organisational skills, who can bring people together, keep complex work moving forward and build effective partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in shaping a long-term approach to nature restoration across the Isle of Man, connecting land and sea and helping to maximise the contribution of nature to climate resilience, biodiversity recovery and the Island’s wider environmental, social and economic wellbeing.
If you are passionate about nature recovery, partnership working and creating practical solutions for a healthier environment, we would love to hear from you.
