Join Manx BirdLife and the Isle of Man Fungus Group for a gentle stroll around the beautiful Langness Peninsula, discovering the fascinating world of fungi along the way.

Led by fungi expert Liz Charter, we’ll explore the incredible variety of fungi found at Langness, learn how to identify different species, from puffballs to waxcaps, and discover why this special landscape is such a great place for fungi.

Meet at Herring Tower car park at 10.30am. Please come prepared for the weather and wear suitable footwear.

Why not round off your morning with a hot drink and a delicious piece of cake at the Salt and Swing Café afterwards?

We hope you can join us!

To book your place on the walk please email enquiries@manxbirdlife.im

Please note: this is a fungi walk, not a foraging event. Much of the Langness Peninsula is designated as an ASSI, and removing fungi or other species can be detrimental to this important natural environment.

Please enjoy the fungi where they grow and leave them for others to discover.
