Visiting the Reserve – Langness
The Manx BirdLife Langness Nature Reserve, and the wider Langness Peninsula, offers a variety of public rights of way, including sections of the stunning Raad ny Foillan coastal path, providing visitors with a range of walking options to suit all interests.
While many of the paths are well-trodden, please note that some may be uneven or contain minor trip hazards—appropriate footwear is recommended. Depending on your chosen route, you may also encounter stiles along the way.
Opening times
The reserve is open to visitors at all times, allowing you to enjoy its natural beauty year-round.
Finding the reserve
Just south of Derbyhaven take the right-hand (westward) fork for Langness by the ruined building (SC285673). After taking the westward fork continue driving past the ruined building and parking area (now on your left), bearing left at the bend and continuing along the shore road overlooking the grass flats and rocky coastline to your right until you reach the car park.
Watching from a car can be very rewarding, particularly at high tide.
