Featuring dramatic vertical slate cliffs and striking sea stacks

Featuring dramatic vertical slate cliffs and striking sea stacks, this area offers arguably the Isle of Man’s finest cliff scenery. Just south of Cregneash village, a narrow lane leads to a car park, where a footpath descends toward the Chasms—deep, dangerous fissures in the rock, so care is essential. There is also limited parking available at Fistard (SC200644), with a scenic 1 km coastal walk offering excellent views. The cliffs are home to a range of birdlife, including Stonechat, Chough, and Raven year-round. In the summer, you may also spot Kittiwake, Guillemot, Black Guillemot (just south of Fistard), as well as the occasional Puffin and Wheatear.
